Removal and TNVD installation

Check of installation of phases of injection of TNVD on diesel engines is made in the static way. Assessment of size of raising of the pump will require the dial measuring instrument of plunger type. Installation of phases is defined by distance between from VMT tag on a flywheel to the fixed point on the engine which measurement has to be entrusted to qualified specialists of car service.

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Remove an inlet sleeve of the air cleaner (see the Section Removal and installation of assembly of the air cleaner and components of an inlet path).
3. In view of extremely limited access to the pump it will be reasonable to remove a radiator.
4. Working according to the instructions provided in the Head Remont you dvigatelyavypolnit the following actions:
a) Uncover the camshaft an external cover of a belt of the GRM drive;
b) Bring the engine into the provision of VMT;
c) Throw off a gear belt from cogged pulleys of the camshaft and TNVD.
5. Now it is necessary to remove a cogwheel from TNVD shaft. In the course of fixture otpuskaniye the cogwheel should be blocked from a provorachivaniye by means of suitable adaptation which can be easily manufactured of make-shifts (see the Section Removal and installation of a belt of the GRM drive and its covers).

6. Release three fixing bolts and remove a cogwheel from a pump flange.

Do not weaken at all the central nut of a cogwheel as it can lead to violation of basic installations of phases of injection.

7. Previously having marked, disconnect from the pump hoses of giving and return of fuel also disconnect a control hose from the returnable union.
8. By means of two nut a key (perhaps it is necessary to use a cutting key with a cutting head) weaken nipple connections of rigid fuel tubes on a back part of TNVD and each of nozzles. Remove assembly of tubes from the engine.

Prepare for collecting the spilled fuel - enclose rags under the distributed nipple connections. Try not to allow deformations of rigid fuel tubes at all.

9. In order to avoid hit of dirt in a power supply system at once to a zakuporta the open ends of fuel tubes and unions. Use the finger which is cut off from a rubber glove...

..., or muffle unions by means of the hollow bolt which is turned out from it previously densely put in a piece of the hose suitable on diameter.

10. Disconnect a vacuum tube from the drive of the device of increase in turns of idling on TNVD wall.

11. Disconnect an accelerator cable from TNVD arm (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of an accelerator).

12. Previously having marked disconnect an electrical wiring from the following components:

a) The oil pressure sensor switch at the left end face of a head of cylinders;
b) The oil temperature/pressure sensor switch on a basic arm of the fuel filter;
c) Two the block of cylinders of sockets installed in an arm on the left wall;
d) The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid on a knee of a cooling path in a forward part of a head of cylinders.

13. Before removal of TNVD mark the provision of fixing bolts in oval openings - at assembly the pump has to is installed strictly in former situation in order to avoid violation of basic installations of phases of injection.
14. Turn out a back fixing bolt and three bolts from the forward party of the pump (see accompanying illustrations). Make sure that nothing remained connected to TNVD and take the pump from a motive compartment.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish TNVD on the regular place on the engine, tighten fixture with the required effort.

Fixing openings of the pump have the oval form that allows to correct position of the pump on the engine. At installation of the new pump bolts should be established at first in the central part of openings for the purpose of ensuring the maximum range of adjustment. The old pump is installed strictly in former situation according to the marking put in the course of dismantle.

2. Make initial filling of the pump with pure diesel fuel through the funnel which is serially inserted into unions of giving and return of fuel (for collecting the spilled fuel impose unions with rags).
3. Connect fuel tubes to nozzles and the pump. With the required effort delay nipple connections by means of two wrenches.
4. Connect to TNVD of a tube of giving and return of fuel (do not forget to replace sealing washers). Tighten hollow bolts of nipple connections with the required effort.
5. According to the marking put in the course of dismantle connect all disconnected electrical wiring.
6. Connect a vacuum tube to the valve of the device of increase in turns of idling.
7. Connect and adjust an accelerator cable (see the Section System of Ventilation of a Case - the general information).
8. Establish into place a cogwheel of the pump and fix it by three bolts - pass bolts throughout oval openings and tighten them, so far only by hand.
9. Block a cogwheel from a provorachivaniye, having passed a metal core through a centering opening throughout drilling in a pump nave. The side play of the blocked wheel has to be minimum.
10. Establish a gear belt of the GRM drive and adjust its tension (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of a forward cover, chain and asterisks of the GRM drive).
11. Now it is necessary to check installation/adjustment of phases of injection of TNVD in the conditions of a workshop of car service. At installation of new TNVD it is necessary to connect to it an immobilizator of anticreeping system also.
12. Check idling turns, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment. Then check installation of the maximum turns of the engine (see the Section System of Release - the general information and replacement of components) and turns of bystry idling (see the Section the Catalytic converter - the general information and precautionary measures).
13. Further assembly is made as it should be, the return to a dismantle order.
