Replacement of epiploons of a bent shaft

Forward epiploon

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Merge motive oil.
2. Take off a belt of the drive of auxiliary units (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of effort of a tension of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units).
3. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft, external covers of a gas-distributing belt, a gas-distributing belt and a cogwheel of a bent shaft.

4. Try to remember depth of landing of an epiploon in the casing. Trying not to damage a casing or a surface of a pin of a shaft, drill a small opening in a face surface of an epiploon.

5. Screw the self-tapping screw in an opening...

9. The new epiploon has to be put in a casing on the same depth, as old removed from the engine. Begin to knock an epiploon in a casing by means of the hammer and a mandrel as which the face head suitable by the size or a piece of a pipe of the corresponding diameter can be used.

The mandrel has to rest only against the firm outer edge of an epiploon. Alternatively, impose an old epiploon from above on new.

10. 11. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to a dismantle order. The description of procedures of installation and adjustment of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt is provided in the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of effort of a tension of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units. In conclusion fill in necessary amount of engine oil of the required grade in the engine.


Replacement of laying of a casing of a forward epiploon

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Perform the procedures described in paragraphs with 1 on 3 then remove the engine case pallet (see the Section Removal and installation of the pallet of a case of the engine).
2. In stages turn out bolts of fastening of a casing of an epiploon to the block of cylinders.
3. Rotary progress separate a casing assembled with an epiploon from the block and remove it from a pin of a bent shaft.
4. Remove old laying from a casing of the epiploon/block of cylinders. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of a casing and the block, having removed from them all traces of material of old laying and traces of sealant (as necessary use a scraper or a penknife). Try not to damage the interfaced surfaces.
5. Remove the sealing plug installed between a casing of an epiploon and the block. Replace the defective plug, before installation having slightly oiled new liquid lubricating.
6. Having hooked the strong screw-driver, take an old epiploon from a casing.
7. Carefully wipe a casing and check it for existence of cracks and signs of deformations. Lay a casing the interfaced surface down on a working surface of a workbench. Using wooden whetstone as a mandrel, perpendicularly press a new epiploon blows of the hammer in the landing nest.
8. Grease the interfaced surface of the block of cylinders with universal sealant and lay on it new sealing laying.
9. Wind a neck of a bent shaft with an adhesive tape.
10. Oil internal sponges of an epiploon pure motive and accurately put on assembly a shaft pin. Rotary progress advance an epiploon along a pin, having densely pressed a casing to the surface of the block of cylinders. Track correctness of interface of the sealing plug put in a casing to the block.
11. Screw new fixing bolts and in stages tighten them with the required effort.

Remember that the holder is made of soft aluminum alloy and can be easily damaged at violation of uniformity of tightening of bolts.

12. Install into place the case pallet (see the Section Removal and installation of the pallet of a case of the engine).
13. Establish a cogwheel of a bent shaft and a gas-distributing belt (see the Sections Reduction of the Piston of the First Cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (TDP) of the end of a step of compression, Removal and installation of a belt of the GRM drive and its covers, Removal, check of a state and installation of cogwheels and a natyazhitel of a belt of the GRM drive). Adjust effort of a tension of a belt (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of cogwheels and a natyazhitel of a belt of the GRM drive).
14. Establish a belt of the drive of auxiliary units and adjust effort of its tension (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of effort of a tension of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units). Fill in necessary amount of engine oil of the required grade in the engine.


Back epiploon

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Merge motive oil.
2. Remove from the engine the transmission (see the Head the Transmission).
3. Remove a flywheel (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of a flywheel). Remove a disk and assembly of a basket of coupling (see the Head Stsepleniye).
4. In stages give bolts of fastening of a casing of an epiploon.
5. Rotary progress separate a casing assembled with an epiploon from the block and remove it from a pin of a bent shaft.
6. The back epiploon changes assembled with a casing and in an individual order is not delivered. If replaceable assembly is not equipped with the built-in sealing laying, the last should be got separately.
7. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surface of the block of cylinders, having completely removed from it all traces of material of old laying and sealant (in case of need use a scraper or a penknife - try not to damage a surface).
8. Grease the interfaced surface of the block with fresh sealant of universal type and establish new laying.
9. Company epiploons of the Skoda company are equipped with the plastic insert protecting epiploon sponges from damage about edges of a shponochny groove when clothing assembly on a shaft pin. If the insert is not provided, wind a shaft pin with an adhesive tape.
10. Grease internal sponges of a new epiploon with pure motive oil and rotary progress put assembly on a shaft pin.
11. Screw new fixing bolts and in stages tighten them with the required effort.
